About The University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine
The University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine serves as the Northeast Texas region’s only medical school. Through the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, our program will have a class of two fellows in training each year, with a total complement of six fellows being present by 2025. Our cardiovascular disease fellowship program exists amongst other fellowship programs including child & adolescent psychiatry, psychology, sports medicine and hospice & palliative medicine. As the governing body, the Graduate Medical Education Committee at UT Tyler provides oversight to these sponsored fellowship programs and has decades of experience in directing successful graduate medical education programs which continue to produce highly competent and accomplished graduates each year. Backed by The University of Texas System, the leadership at UT Tyler and UT Health East Texas are determined to leave a large footprint on the landscape of medical education, health care delivery and innovative research in East Texas.
