Dr. Osama Shoair is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Health Outcomes at Fisch College of Pharmacy at The University of Texas at Tyler. Dr. Shoair received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Misr International University and his Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmacotherapy and Outcomes Science from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Dr. Shoair has completed two postdoctoral research fellowships in patient outcomes and health economics at the University of Utah and University of California, San Francisco.
Dr. Shoair teaching interests include biostatistics, clinical research design, pharmacoepidemiology, and pharmacoeconomics. Dr. Shoair’s research interests are in the area of health economics and outcomes research.
Dr. Shoair serves as a peer reviewer for several journals in the fields of pharmacy education, pharmacotherapy, geriatrics/gerontology, and pharmacoepidemiology. He is also an active member in several professional associations and societies including the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) and the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR), and he is a member of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.
