Hoyoung Kim
Biography
Dr. Hoyoung Kim is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at Soules College of Business,
the University of Texas at Tyler. He joined in the Fall semester of 2021.
Dr. Hoyoung Kim currently teaches managerial accounting for undergraduate and graduate
students. His research focuses on managerial accounting. More specifically, his current
research interests are cost management, supply chain contracts, political issues and
connections, and CEO turnovers. He received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Accounting,
a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A) from Eastern Illinois University, and
a Ph.D. in Accounting at Kent State University.
