Biography
Dr. Li joined the Computer Science Department, Soules College of Business at The University
of Texas at Tyler August 2019. She received her M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Science
from The University of Texas at Dallas in 2017 and 2019, respectively. She was a Research
Assistant in the Data Communication and Data Management Lab and a Teaching Assistant
at the Erik Jonsson School during 2015-2019. In addition, she has an M.A. degree in
Digital Communication and Multi-media from The University of Texas at Dallas, and
industry experience in advertising and media plan. She has published over ten research
papers in top-rated journals, conferences and book chapters.
Teaching and Research interests:
Dr. Li’s overall research interests involve algorithm design and analysis in emerging
social computing problems. Her research and publications include user influence optimization,
information propagation, social data analytics and misinformation blocking in social
networks. Her primary teaching interests are data structure and algorithm analysis,
data communication, social computing, database management, programming languages,
web development, and computer architecture.
