Instrumentation Laboratory
Facilities
The Instrumentation Laboratory of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Texas at Tyler supports a number of courses and projects.
The Instrumentation Laboratory is used to support MENG 3210, Mechanical Engineering Laboratory I, where students are introduced to instrumentation and measurement systems, including data acquisition.
Laboratory equipment includes one of the following sets in each campus:
- LVDT’s (Lucas Shaevitz), linear and angular potentiometers
- Pressure gages and manometers
- Electronic pressure sensors
- Thermocouples and digital thermocouple thermometers as well as a thermometer re-corder
- Liquid-in-glass thermometers
