Completion of 39 credit hours in Psychology (see Degree Plan for list of required Psychology courses)
Minimum 45 upper-division credit hours (3000/4000 level courses)
Complete all core curriculum, Psychology, and upper-division courses with a grade of C or better
Minimum 120 credit hours total
Minimum 2.25 GPA in all required courses
Completion of the Psychology Major Field Test during final semester of coursework

Additional Requirements

Eighteen of the forty-two upper-division hours in Psychology, excluding Independent Study or Internship, must be completed at UT Tyler.

No student may enroll in 4000-level Psychology courses in their first semester at UT Tyler without advisor approval. No correspondence course may apply toward elective or core psychology hours without the prior approval of the Department Chair. All Psychology & Counseling undergraduate students are required to meet with an Academic Advisor during their first semester at UT Tyler.
