Counseling Certification and Licensure

The CACREP Accredited Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program at UT Tyler meets the academic requirements for Licensed Professional Counselor (initially LPC -Associate) licensure in Texas. Additionally, the CMHC program also meets the requirements for National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC) National Certified Counselor (NCC) Certification.
