Enhancing Productivity in the East Texas Region

 

About the Texas Productivity Center

The University of Texas at Tyler Soules College of Business is actively engaged in community outreach to determine if a center dedicated to enhancing productivity in East Texas industry is needed.

UT Tyler has partnered with the East Texas Lean Consortium to test the prospect of developing a Texas Productivity Center that would serve the region with vital information and resources.

As part of the initiative, a Texas Productivity Summit and Training Sessions have been established to explore techniques for improving productivity.

Vision

The vision of the Texas Productivity Center is to be one of the leading providers for productivity and performance improvement education for companies and organization in Texas and abroad.

Mission

The Texas Productivity Center serves the region of East Texas and the state of Texas by developing and disseminating relevant knowledge regarding current practices for improving the productivity and performance of employees of a company or organization whether pertaining to manufacturing, healthcare, academia, supply chain, transactional and more.

Goals

The main goal of the center is to provide services that include featuring world renowned guest speakers, providing relevant workshops, coordinating plant tours, and offering professional consulting services in order to improve the productivity and performance of companies all across Texas.

An ancillary goal is to generate revenue to fund the center and provide world class training and educational events to assist companies in their quest for continuous improvement.

A long-term goal is to increase participation in the center and to double its membership within three years.
