Center for Environment, Biodiversity and Conservation

The Center for Environment, Biodiversity and Conservation was established in August of 2015 within the Biology Department at The University of Texas at Tyler. The Center's mission is to study the diversity of organisms throughout the world through multidisciplinary research. Of the nearly 2 million species catalogued by scientists a large number have been negatively impacted by human activity. The CEBC through collaborative research works to find practical solutions to species declines and extinctions. Although centered regionally in east Texas the vision of the CEBC is global because biodiversity loss is a global problem.
