Biography

James Davis, DO, is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler. His clinical roles include inpatient pediatrics and newborn nursery at UTHealth Tyler Main Hospital and outpatient pediatrics at UTHealth 5th Street Pediatrics, and he is involved in the clinical education of family medicine residents and UTHSCT medical students. His areas of interest include neurodivergence, access to care, social determinants of health, and child trauma/foster care.

Outside of his clinical and academic responsibilities, he volunteers with the Smith County Child Advocacy Center's Child Fatality Review Team, as well as with the 4 Kids 4 Families general council. He can also be found spending time with his family, gardening, chasing chickens, reading, or listening to an eclectic assortment of musical genres.
