Born outside of Philadelphia and raised in Chicago, David Strong is at home among
skyscrapers, bumper-to-bumper traffic, and cold winter blasts from Canada. Yet, because
the allure of the South always intrigued him, he came to Tyler as soon as the opportunity
arose. He with his wife Christie and two children, Alexa and Gavin, now call Texas
their home.
Since arriving here at the university, he has taught a wide variety of literature
and composition courses, including a yearly course on rock-and-roll. His articles
focus on medieval dream visions and Shakespeare, being published in journals such
as, The Chaucer Review and Philological Quarterly.
