Dual Credit

Step 1: Set up your myUTTyler, Patriot Email,and Canvas

  1. Go to https://my.uttyler.edu/ and set up your myUTTyler account with the credentials that are sent to the email you used on your ApplyTexas application.
  2. Check out your Student Center and get acquainted with it.
  3. Use these instructions to access your Student Center
  4. Activate your Patriots Email and check your email regularly!
  5. Log into your Canvas.
  6. Use these instructions if you need help accessing any of these sites.

Step 2: Complete your Canvas Course

  1. Log into your Canvas and complete the Dual Credit Students and Parents Canvas Course.
  2. Log into canvas here.

Step 3: Pay Tuition (If you are responsible for your tuition)

  1. Log into your myUTTyler and go to your Student Center.
  2. Click on Make a Payment under the Finances Section.
  3. Use these instructions if you need help

Step 4: Use your Study resources

  • Upswing Tutoring  
  • Digital Toolkits
    • Many dual credit classes will have Digital Toolkits attached to their textbooks. You will see the Digital Toolkits for your courses automatically loaded into your Canvas dashboard.
  • PASS Tutoring Center
  • UT Tyler Writing Center
  • UT Tyler Mathematics Learning Center
    • The Math department offers free tutoring to on-campus students.
    • Hours may vary. Contact the Mathematics Department at 903.565.5839, math@uttyler.edu
  • UT Tyler Counseling Center
