Master of Arts in Political Science

The Department of Political Science at The University of Texas at Tyler offers a 36-hour graduate program leading to a master of arts degree.

The political science MA degree focuses instruction on four areas: American politics, political theory, comparative politics and international relations.

This course of study is designed to prepare students for matriculation to doctoral programs in political science; train degree recipients for teaching responsibilities at the junior college level; and/or provide professional competencies for private and public sector employment.
