Colleges and Schools

Our eight colleges and schools span the arts and sciences, business, education and psychology, engineering, nursing, pharmacy, the health professions and medicine. UT Tyler Health Science Center

Encompassing the School of Nursing, the Fisch College of Pharmacy, the School of Health Professions and the School of Medicine — the first and only medical school in East Texas — the UT Tyler Health Science Center educates the next generation of researchers and patient care professionals while serving as a hub for groundbreaking research and community initiatives.

Continuing Education

Become a lifelong learner with UT Tyler’s continuing education offerings. Complete relevant online courses in nursing, business, nonprofit management and other in-demand areas, or offer customized training to your employees.

Our Mission

The Office of Academic Affairs at The University of Texas at Tyler drives our institution’s educational excellence, extending rigorous research and meaningful public service opportunities to students, faculty and staff. Our undergraduate and graduate programs center on project- and team-based learning to instill the marketable skills and solutions-oriented mindset employers seek. Faculty members blend innovative teaching methods with their own real-world experiences while giving students individualized attention in and outside of the classroom. Research at UT Tyler crosses disciplines and aims to impact medical, education, business, the social sciences, engineering and more fields.

Outreach

Through more than 20 research centers and institutes across eight colleges and schools, UT Tyler’s outreach programs and initiatives focus on uplifting the East Texas community. University Academy

The University of Texas at Tyler operates its very own public university charter school, University Academy. The STEM-centered, hands-on curriculum equips the next generation with 21st-century skills.
