Hot Work Program
Environmental Health and Safety
Hot work is a common activity on UT Tyler campuses and as part of our continual effort to ensure campus safety, a hot work permit is required for any operations conducted, both inside and outside. Hot work involves electric or gas welding, cutting, brazing, or similar flame or spark-producing operations. UT Tyler’s Hot Work permit will also help identify any fire suppression system components that may need to be addressed.
