Chief Compliance Officer

Responsibilities:
My primary duties are to oversee the compliance program, oversee the billing compliance plan and to identify and mitigate risk to the University.

When to Reach Out:
If you suspect any kind of violation of policy, UT System/Regents rules, state or federal laws. Or, if you have any questions or concerns about almost anything on campus!

Compliance Manager/Deputy Title IX Coordinator

Responsibilities:

My primary duties include auditing the electronic medical record (EMR) system for potential HIPAA violations, conducting additional audits for credentialing alerts against RNs, LVNs, and MDs, through external agencies and auditing tools via System for Award Management (SAM) which is the official website of the U.S. government for managing and publishing federal contracting opportunities, and the Office of Inspector General (OIG). 

I also conduct ethical investigations for the employee complaint hotline system, which may involve looking into issues such as potential HIPAA violations, and Title IX complaints related to sexual harassment, assault, dating violence, stalking, and other critical areas.

If you suspect a HIPAA violation, have concerns about credentialing compliance, Conflict of Interest, Title IX issues/complaints, or need to report misconduct or inappropriate behavior, I am here to help!

Billing Compliance Analyst

Responsibilities:
My primary duties include reviewing billing documentation on our Billing providers and providing education on coding and documentation guidelines.

If you suspect coding errors or documentation guideline concerns, or any questions/concerns regarding billing or coding, please reach out. I’m always happy to help!

Compliance Specialist/HOP Coordinator

Responsibilities:
I am officed on the academic campus and I primarily work with non-medical compliance issues. I am engaged in rewriting and reformatting the HOP, and I am the primary point of contact for any questions regarding UT Tyler policies. I also review Conflict of Interest reports and aid in conducting compliance investigations.
