About Dr. Chitnis:
I served as associate neurology program director for a decade at my previous job, established and ran a nationally recognized fellowship in movement disorders for 13 years, and supervised 13 fellowships in the department of Neurology at UT Southwestern for over 5 years. Over 20 years of a journey in graduate medical education gives me the knowledge and experience to start and lead a brand-new Neurology residency program. I also serve as the Chief of Neurology, and empowering the dreams of young trainees and providing strong and benevolent mentorship to my faculty is at core of everything I do. My previous trainees have now become renowned faculty members in prestigious universities across the nation; they are leaders in clinical care, education, research and administration. Our associate program director, Dr. Elisabeth Golden is one such former trainee. I look forward to helping train the bright minds of tomorrow in our new program and look forward to their growth and development as next generation leaders in our field. If you share our core values and want to do something creative and innovative on your career journey while not forgetting to have fun, then do consider applying to UT Tyler Neurology residency program. This may very well be your ticket to an experience of a lifetime.
