About Dr. Golden:
Dr. Elisabeth Golden is the Associate Program Director for the neurology residency program. She completed all her medical training at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, including neurology residency and neuromuscular and autonomic fellowships. As faculty at UTSW, she was an integral part of the neuromuscular and autonomic sections and was responsible for education, training, and mentorship of fellows and rotating neurology residents. She has extensive experience working with medical students, including serving as faculty mentor for students interested in research in the department. She is recognized as a bright, caring and compassionate physician and mentor. Dr. Golden moved to UT Tyler School of Medicine in 2022 as Assistant Professor of Neurology and has been serving as a full-time hospitalist in the primary training hospital of the School of Medicine. She intends to return to her outpatient clinical practice in her areas of expertise when the residency program begins. Her primary academic interest is autonomic education which she pursues at the national level through the American Autonomic Society.
