Yezi Hu (Ph.D., Washington State University) is an Assistant Professor of Communication
at The University of Texas at Tyler. Her research focuses on social media, Internet
censorship, and social identity. She teaches primarily in strategic communication
and public relations. Before joining UT-Tyler, she was a PR consultant for multiple
global PR agencies, including Fleishman Hillard, Burson-Marsteller, and MSL. She also taught
PR at a Chinese university for five years.
