Dr. Wooldridge’s primary teaching interests are in the areas of Services Marketing, International Marketing, Marketing Research, and Health Care Marketing. Biography

"I believe one needs to continually adapt; I need not to think about what students should, rather what students do. Once I understand this reality, I can motivate, inspire and challenge them to learn to achieve what they need to succeed in life."

Barbara Ross Wooldridge, Ph.D., is a Professor of Marketing. Her field of interest is services. She received her Ph.D. from Louisiana State University, her masters from the Statler School of Hotel Administration Cornell University, and her BFA from James Madison University with major in Communications Arts. Dr. Wooldridge has an extensive background in the hospitality industry and served in Kenya and Seychelles as a marketing manager. She is a volunteer expert with the International Executive Service Corps (IESC).

Dr. Wooldridge has been published in Psychology and Marketing, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Consumer Marketing, Marketing Education Review, the Cornell Quarterly, and other peer reviewed publications. She has been the recipient of The University of Texas Regents' Outstanding Teaching Award  as well as other teaching and research awards. She is in the process of learning Spanish. She is delighted to be living Rose Capital.
