Biography
"Though a senior member of the English department, I am especially interested in and
committed to teaching lower division courses. In these classes I endeavor to make
sure students leave every session feeling that our work on literary texts has put
them in contact with real people and real life questions, that it has triggered their
imaginations and built their intellectual confidence."
Dr. Ross teaches British literature, specializing in the Romantic and Victorian Periods
and the history and practice of rhetoric. Her current research projects focus upon
Romantic Polymathy. education in the Romantic Period, and active-learning pedagogies.Teaching
