Student Right to Know Data for cohort years 2014-2017:

UT Tyler's average graduation rate (in six years or less) for the last four years is 44%. This four-year average includes students who entered in Fall 2014, Fall 2015, Fall 2016, and Fall 2017 and who graduated by Aug. 31, 2023. UT Tyler tracks the percentage of first-time, full-time degree-seeking undergraduate students who earn a bachelor's degree in six years or less.

Calculation of four-year average rates with adjustment to cohort:

  • 2013 cohort: cohort size of 700; 293 graduates in six years or less 293/700=42%
  • 2014 cohort: cohort size of 678; 294 graduates in six years or less 294/678=43%
  • 2015 cohort: cohort size of 766; 323 graduates in six years or less 323/766=42%
  • 2016 cohort: cohort size of 815; 359 graduates in six years or less 359/815=44%
  • 2017 cohort: cohort size of 650; 304 graduates in six years or less 304/650=47%

Total 1,280 graduates out of 2,909 in the last four cohorts:

Four-year average completion rate = 44%.
