First Year or Transfer Orientation Registration

Freshman Orientation

For freshmen admitted for Spring 2025 -

All incoming students who graduate from high school in 2024 need to complete freshman orientation. All first time, full time college students are required to complete orientation, regardless of the number of dual credit hours earned. If you are a student who graduated before 2024 and are transferring in from another college or university with less than 30 credit hours, you will need to complete freshman orientation.

Online Orientation

Once on the online orientation:

1. Select the “Student Login” option
2. Enter your UT Tyler email address and password to sign in
3. Complete your orientation
4. Be sure to complete the orientation survey in the “Next Steps” section of the online orientation
5. Once submitting your orientation survey, allow 48 business hours for your orientation hold to be removed

Transfer Orientation

For transfer students admitted for Spring 2025 -

All new students, including transfer students, must complete New Patriot Orientation.

In-Person Orientation -

We will host an in-person Transfer Orientation Session on Thursday, January 9 from 8am-3pm. Once you have registered for this session, more detailed information will be sent our to your Patriots email account one week before the session.
