Orientation and Camp Leaders

Orientation Leaders (OLs) and Camp Leaders (CLs) are the face of the university for new students and their families. OLs assist in easing the transition for new throughout the summer at orientation and are responsible for representing UT Tyler in a positive, enthusiastic and professional manner. Camp Leaders staff Swoop Camp during the summer, and are a vital part of helping our students get acclimated to their new home!

Training is provided in the spring semester for both positions.

Recruiting for OLs and CLs will begin in the fall 2024 semester, and applications for OLs and CLs will open in January 2025. Check back for more information, dates for info sessions, and the application.
