Part-Time and Community Faculty Award For Excellence

This award recognizes a part-time or community volunteer faculty member whose contributions and various forms of engagement with UT Tyler School of Medicine have had a significant impact on the institution and its mission, either in Undergraduate Medical Education, Graduate Medical Education, Research, or community service and philanthropic endeavors. Honorees should demonstrate a commitment to excellence and to the valuable partnerships between the School of Medicine and the healthcare community of East Texas.

ELIGIBILITY

University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine faculty employed less than 0.5 FTE.
Adjunct faculty with secondary appointments in University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine.
Staff members with part-time faculty appointments.
Community volunteer faculty.
No specific rank required.
Appointed for at least one full academic year.

NOMINATIONS

Nominations will be accepted by members of the faculty, staff, students, and trainees via nomination form distributed each January. Nominees will be asked to submit a current CV for acceptance of the nomination and consideration.

AWARD

Review and recommendations will be made by the Faculty Honors and Awards Committee, with a final decision by the Dean.
