Family Medicine Tyler Residency Application

All residency applicants must apply through ERAS. We accept eight residents every year.

Applications Considered:

• Graduate of an LCME- or AOA- accredited medical school
  • International Graduates considered on case by case basis 
• Passed USMLE Step 1 & Step 2 CK and/or COMLEX 1 & 2
• Medical Student Performance Evaluation (Dean's Letter)
• 3 or more letters of recommendation (preferably from faculty who you have worked with clinically)
• Curriculum vitae and personal statement
• Must be less than 3 years since graduation from Medical School
• J1 Visas accepted

Interviews

Interviews take place from October through December on Wednesdays and Fridays with a pre-interview dinner with residents the evening before; spouses and significant others are welcome. Interview day consists of a program overview, faculty and resident interviews, a tour of UT Health North Campus, and lunch with the residents.
