Revansiddha Katte, Ph.D.
Postdoctoral Research Associate Sr
Email: revansiddha.katte@uttyler.edu
Revan obtained his Ph.D. from National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan. His doctoral
research focused on developing new therapeutic inhibitors using structure-based drug
design. He is interested in using structural biology to understand the structural
dynamics of viral glycoproteins and their targets to aid the development of novel
therapeutics.
Guohua Zhong, MD
Research Associate
Email: guohua.zhong@uttyler.edu
Dr. Guohua Zhong graduated from Guiyang Medical School in China. He has experience
working in biomedical and agricultural science research laboratories. His interests
are reading, hiking, and listening to music.
Yang Han, MD, MS
Lab Manager
Email: yang.han@uttyler.edu
Yang graduated from the University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She likes pets
and traveling. She has been working on viruses and managing the lab.
Yufan He, Ph.D.
Staff Scientist
Email: yufan.he@uttyler.edu
Dr. He began his scientific research using electrochemistry/electrochemical scanning
tunneling microscopy (STM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM) to understand the phenomena
at the molecular level that occurred at the solid-liquid interface, including molecular
adsorption/desorption, self-assembly, and electron transfer, etc. Then, he shifted
his focus to using single-molecule spectroscopy, especially single-molecule FRET (smFRET)
imaging, to understand the relation between protein conformational dynamics and their
biological functions. His education and training background in biomedical research,
including biophysics, biochemistry, and enzymology.
Wang Xu, Ph.D.
Postdoctoral Research Associate Sr
Email: wang.xu@uttyler.edu
Wang Xu, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), graduated from Northwest A&F University
in China. His doctoral research focuses on the immune mechanism of zoonotic viruses,
especially the host cell response during the virus entry stage. Now, he hopes to visualize
this process through cutting-edge technologies. He loves hiking and trying new cuisines.
He often makes some creative, delicious dishes at home.
Narendra Kumar Gonepudi, DVM, M.V.Sc.
Biotechnology Graduate Student
Email: ngonepudi@patriots.uttyler.edu
Graduate of NTR College of Veterinary Science, Gannavaram, India, holds an MS degree
in veterinary public health and Epidemiology. Driven by a passion for "One Health,"
Kumar is interested in unraveling the transmission dynamics and pathogenesis of zoonosis
and infectious diseases, which contribute to developing vaccine and drug candidates.
