Winners of the essay and photography contest will be announced and statements from NET Health and UT Tyler School of Health Professions will be given. A proclamation for National Public Health Week 2025 will be presented to the Tyler City Council. Residents are always invited to attend the meeting in person at City Hall. The Council meeting is streamed live on the City of Tyler's Facebook page. It is also available on Optimum Cable Channel 3. |

UT Health East Texas Physicians |
Finish the week with a community health fair hosted by UT Tyler and UT Health East Texas. Activities include meeting first responders and receiving health screenings, educational materials. Food Trucks and delicious options, along with Fun Games and Activities for All Ages.

Eligibility
Currently enrolled graduate students
Requirements
750-1200 words, single-authored, comply with discipline formatting.
Submission Deadline: Sunday, March 23, 11:59pm
Prizes will be awarded to top three entries:
First Place: $250
Second Place: $150
Third Place: $100

Theme
Participants are encouraged to submit photographs that represent public health in
East Texas. This can include images depicting healthy lifestyles, environmental health,
healthcare access, community wellness initiatives, and more.
Eligibility
Entry is free. The contest is open to East Texas residents ages 18 and older. Amateur
and professional photographers can enter. The goal is to showcase what public health means to you and how it impacts our community.
Prizes will be awarded to the top three entries:
First Place: $250 gift card
Second Place: $150 gift card
Third Place: $100 gift card
Complete submission by March 23rd, 2025
