Computer Engineering Bachelor of Science Degree
Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering
The UT Tyler computer engineering curriculum offers a student-focused, hands-on engineering education designed to develop a strong basis and depth in the computer engineering discipline.
The required courses in computer architecture, digital electronics, embedded systems, data communications and networking, signals and systems, very-large-scale integration design, field-programmable gate array design, and operating systems provide cutting-edge, hands-on career preparation and culminate in a capstone senior design project.
Students are also required to complete an enrichment experience with an industry internship or faculty-supervised research experience. Graduates will be able to apply the principles of computer science, physics, and math to define and solve problems, design solutions, and equipment in all areas of research, development, design, and operation of computer systems and their components, including both hardware and software.
