Civil Engineering Bachelor of Science Degree
The UT Tyler undergraduate degree program in civil engineering provides instruction in basic science, engineering science and engineering design. Engineering design is emphasized throughout the curriculum beginning with the introductory courses.
Students design individually and as part of a design team. The curriculum culminates in a multidisciplinary capstone design.
Upon graduation, students are prepared to work immediately in most areas of the profession.
Undergraduate coursework is available in most major fields of civil engineering. These include: fluid mechanics, construction materials, construction engineering, transportation engineering, structural engineering and geotechnical engineering.
The bachelor of science in civil engineering program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, https://www.abet.org.
