About the MSN-MBA Program

This coordinated master of science in nursing and master of business administration (MSN-MBA) degree option will prepare the nurse executive to ensure excellence in client care services, and also to impact the business environment in which nurses practice. This degree option incorporates content in management, economics, finance and marketing into a framework for nursing service and health care administration. Students completing the MSN-MBA coordinated degree option will be awarded their two degrees in the same academic term.

• Apply Online. *Dual MSN/MBA applicants must complete two applications. You will need to apply to the MSN Administration program through the School of Nursing and to the MBA program through the College of Business*
• Pay the application fee.

• Submit official transcripts to the Office of Graduate Admissions and unofficial transcripts to the Soules College of Business Graduate Advising Office.
• Submit official GMAT scores to the Office of Graduate Admissions and unofficial scores may be sent to the Soules College of Business Graduate Advising Office.
• There are additional requirements for international students such as a detailed international
  transcript evaluation which determines an applicant's degree comparability to a US bachelor's degree (UT Tyler does NOT evaluate international transcripts).

MSN-MBA Additional Admission Requirements

In addition to the general graduate admission requirements of The University of Texas at Tyler, students applying for admission to the MSN-MBA coordinated degree option must meet the College of Nursing and Health Sciences and the Soules College of Business requirements listed in the catalog under the College of Nursing, the coordinated master of science in nursing and master of business administration.
