Department of Management & Marketing

Welcome to the Department of Management and Marketing at The University of Texas at Tyler. We are part of the Soules College of Business family, and our mission is to prepare our students for successful managerial and professional careers.  We offer undergraduate and graduate degree plans that can be tailored to your needs as you start or advance your career.  Here you will find friendly faculty and staff who are eager to help you along the career path of your choice.  

Our faculty are here to help you acquire the knowledge and practical skills you need to be successful in a rapidly changing workplace.  We utilize state-of-the-art technology in the classroom to bridge the gap between the classroom and the workplace.  Faculty are engaged in research projects that result in publications in top quality journals around the world, and their research ultimately benefits not only our students but also a variety of stakeholders at the local, regional, national and worldwide levels.  This combination of research and practical experience allows our faculty to better equip students to be successful in meeting their career goals.  

Our degree plans in Management and Marketing allow you to specialize in content area that is right for you. These areas in Management include Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Human Resources. In Marketing, we offer certificates in Digital Marketing, Data Analytics, Sales, and Retailing and Services. Industry recognized certificates are also integrated into courses to bridge the divide between the classroom and the workplace. We strive to provide knowledge and tools you can use now and for years to come as you advance in your career. We encourage our students to join and participate in campus organizations for management and marketing to grow your network with students, professors, and industry leaders.
