Biology Research

My research background is in aquatic ecology. More specifically, community ecology of stream organisms and their habitat. Much of my research has focused on understanding how different land use practices influence the functional ecology of streams and rivers in the eastern United States. I have completed many projects focused on the conservation of rare species, including macroinvertebrates, fishes, mussels, and crayfish. My lab also focuses on wetland ecology and invasive species like the Australian redclaw crayfish.
