UT Tyler Faculty-Led Programs

Program Overview

Unlock the past, understand the present, and shape the future. Join us in Poland to deepen your understanding of history and intergenerational trauma of WWll. Participants will explore the historical impact of WWll and the Holocaust in Krakow, Warsaw, and Gdansk and discover powerful stories of trauma, resilience, and healing. More than just a course, this immersive experience will forever transform your perspective. 

Academics

Students in this program will be enrolled in either HIST 3397 or PSYC 4360/5380 or COUN 5380 during the short summer semester. The courses do not have prerequisites and are open to all majors. The tuition and fees associated with the course(s) are not included in the program fee.

Housing

Housing in centrally located hotel(s) per the program itinerary.

Meals

The program includes a welcome & farewell dinner. Breakfast is provided at the hotel(s) in the morning. All other meals are at the expense of the participants. 

Transportation

In-country transportation is included in the program fee, i.e. group airport pick-up & drop-off and round-trip transportation for all site visits and excursions on the program itinerary.

International round-trip airfare is not included in the program fee. Group flight purchasing for participants can be arranged by the Office of International Programs. 

Entry Requirements

Passport

All international travel requires a valid passport. The passport must be valid for the entire duration of your stay. In addition, your passport must have at least six months’ remaining validity on your passport from the date of your planned return. If you do not have a valid passport, your study abroad advisor will contact you to schedule an appointment.
