Application Instructions

  1. Information Session. Begin your study abroad journey by reviewing our Study Abroad Informaiton video to learn about the options available to those interested in pursuing a study abroad program. This session is your first step, providing a comprehensive overview of what studying abroad entails, the application process, and the opportunities available.
  2. Choose Your Program. Explore and select the study abroad program that aligns with your academic goals and personal interests. Whether you’re looking for a short-term faculty-led experience or a semester-long exchange, we offer a variety of programs tailored to different disciplines, destinations, and durations.
  3. Apply.  Submit the Study Abroad Application. The non-refundable application fee will be assessed to your account about one-week after your application is submitted. Submit supporting documents.  Students participating in study abroad are required to submit the following: Course Pre-approval Form (exchange/affiliate), Payment Agreement, Release and Indemnification Agreement (Appendix C), Release of Liability, Health Clearance Form, copy of passport, copy of visa (if applicable), and copy of flight itinerary.

  4. Scholarships.  We recommend applying for as many scholarships as possible. The Office of international Programs offers two scholarships for you, and we provide a list of other notable available options. We still recommend doing some research for other available scholarships that you can find with a quick internet search.

  5. Attend Pre-Departure Orientation. Before departure, an advisor will meet with you to review safety, confirm required paperwork (insurance and STEP enrollment), and provide emergency contact details for your time abroad.

  6. Prepare For Your Travel. Getting ready for your trip can seem challenging, so we’ve put together a variety of helpful resources. Whether you need guidance on passports and visas, packing, or insurance, we’ve got you covered to make your preparation easier.
