General HPC Hours of Operations

The UT Tyler aquatics program brings a safe swimming environment to HPC patrons while also offering quality programs and classes. The pool opens year-round, 15 minutes after the HPC opens. The pool closes 15 minutes prior to HPC closing time.

During winter months, only the laps lanes and spa are available; but during warmer months, the covers are removed to provide a great atmosphere for studying or fun for the whole family.

Pool features include volleyball and basketball nets, a therapy vortex, fountains and a zero-depth entry that's perfect for small children.

In the summer, the aquatics program offers seven weeks of group swimming lessons and private swim lessons all summer. The pool also can be reserved for pool parties for all ages

Summer Pool Schedule (May - August)

The pool opens 15 minutes after and closes 15 minutes before the main facility hours. During the designated lap swimming times, the pool jets (fountains and vortex) must be off. All other times, the jets may be turned on using the toggle switch on the wall near the rules sign.

Lap lanes will be closed and 9 - 10 a.m. for summer camps, June 1 - July 17 only Monday through Friday.

No jets/vortex during these times if lap swimmers are present. Designated lap swimming times:

• 6 - 8 a.m.
• Noon - 1 p.m.
• 5 - 6:15 p.m.
