Nursing Continuing Professional Development
The University of Texas at Tyler School of Nursing is accredited as a provider of
nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's
Commission on Accreditation.
The vision of Nursing Continuing Professional Development (NCPD) at UT Tyler is to
be the continuing education provider of choice for nurses in northeast Texas, offering
timely and thought-provoking educational opportunities that advance the role of the
professional nurse.
The purpose of NCPD is to ensure that nurses stay abreast of current industry practices, enhance their professional competence, learn about new technology and treatment regimens, and update their clinical skills. These educational activities allow nurses to function more effectively in their professional roles and to contribute to the health and welfare of the public through the dissemination of knowledge. As a nurse, it is crucial to keep up with the latest advancements in healthcare. That is why the UT Tyler School of Nursing provides engaging continuing nursing education opportunities, such as courses, webinars, and workshops. These programs help nurses meet licensure requirements while enhancing their knowledge, skills, and practice.
