UTeach at The University of Texas at Tyler

UTeach Tyler is a collaborative teacher preparation program offered jointly through the Colleges of Arts and Sciences and Education and Psychology with the help of local school districts. UTeach Tyler is a replication site for the UTeach Austin program that began in 1997 as an innovative way to address the national shortage of qualified mathematics and science teachers.

The program strives to provide undergraduate mathematics and science students with an opportunity to broaden their career options while obtaining a mathematics and science undergraduate degree within four years.

The University of Texas at Tyler is proud to join the National UTeach Network and become one of 30 universities to offer the UTeach program.
