Biography
Samantha joined the UT Tyler family in 2018 and began working in the department of Student Engagement in 2019, serving as the Assistant Director of Student Engagement and Transition Programs. In 2024, she was promoted to Director of New Student and Family Programs, and brings to her role over 12 years of higher education experience.
Samantha also serves as the University of Texas System Employee Advisory Council (EAC) representative for UT Tyler. She has been recognized with the UT Tyler STAR Award in November 2019 and September 2022, and is a member of the Association for Orientation, Transition and Retention in Higher Education (NODA). Outside of work, Samantha enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and volunteering for her sorority, Alpha Omicron Pi.
