I am currently a lecturer of political science and the Director of the Model United Nations Program here at UT Tyler. I teach Introduction to American Government as well as Model United Nations I and Model United Nations II. As part of my role as the Director of Model UN I also prepare students to compete at both national and international Model UN conferences in both the Fall and Spring semesters. Additionally, each Spring semester the Model UN Program hosts a High School Model UN conference for the surrounding East Texas High Schools where students from our program run the conference committees for the high school students.
I am also a former student of the Political Science department here at UT Tyler where I earned both my Bachelors and Masters. In the Summer of 2018 I was also a Graduate Archer Fellow and spent the summer in Washington, D.C. If students have any questions related to Model UN or the Archer Fellowship Program, they should feel free to send me an email!
Currently I am also working on a PhD in Political Science and my research interests include human rights and conflict, the United Nations, and peace agreements.
