Mentored 28 undergraduates during the last 10+ years, including 17 women and three minorities. Five students presented their research at international professional meetings, and three of them received competitive travel awards. At least nine students have gone on to graduate school in science, or chosen research careers, and one of them has received an NIH pre-doctoral fellowship.
