Registration While on Probation or Suspension

Students placed on Academic Probation or Suspension are required to complete the appropriate form each term until they have returned to good academic standing with UT Tyler. Students wishing to enroll in future terms before grades for the current term are posted must complete and submit the appropriate form before they will be able to enroll.

Probation forms for all students are available in the Office of the Registrar's online Forms Library. Suspension forms must be obtained at the Enrollment Services Center (STE 230).

Students on academic probation or suspension do not have access to online enrollment and must enroll through the Enrollment Services Center (STE 230).

Undergraduate Probation / Suspension

A student on academic probation or suspension are not eligible to register for more than twelve semester hours and must obtain the advisor's or department chair's approval to register. The student's department has the option to restrict their enrollment to a specific set of courses.

Graduate Probation / Suspension

A student on academic probation should not register for more than six semester hours and must obtain his/her advisor's approval to register. The student's department has the option to restrict their enrollment to a specific set of courses.
