myUTTyler Advising Instructions and Resources

Academic Advising

myUTTyler has many advising and academic resources students can access to ensure they stay on track for graduation, explore different degree requirements, and earn the grades necessary to achieve the desired GPA.  In addition to advising instructions, students can find information regarding course registration, swapping courses, and dropping courses on the One-Stop Tutorial Library

Patriot Advisement Report (PAR)

The PAR is the official online degree plan for every undergraduate student at UT Tyler.  The PAR lists which courses must be completed in order to satisfy the Core Curriculum requirements, major requirements, and minor requirements (if applicable).  Students should contact his/her academic advisor with any questions regarding the PAR.  View our Accessing and Understanding Your Patriot Advisement Report for more information about the PAR.

What-If Report

The What-If Report allows a student to see how the courses he/she has taken would be used if they changed majors or added a major/minor.  View our Accessing and Understanding Your What-If Report for more information about the What-If Report.

Patriot Planner

The Patriot Planner allows students to create a multi-semester plan based on the courses a student needs to complete his/her degree.  The Patriot Planner uses the Patriot Advisement Report (PAR) to determine which courses a student has left to complete and allows the student to plan those courses in a specific semester.  View our Accessing and Understanding Your Patriot Planner for more information about the Planner feature.

GPA Calculator

The GPA Calculator allows a student to input the grades he/she anticipates earning in the current semester and see how their semester and cumulative GPA would be impacted.  View our Accessing and Understanding Your GPA Calculator for more information about the GPA Calculator feature.
