Fall 2025 Honors Application Now Open

Every year, The University of Texas at Tyler Honors College seeks highly motivated and academically talented high school seniors to join UT Tyler's prestigious Honors College. Any first time freshman entering UT Tyler in Fall 2024 with:

• an unweighted high school gpa of 3.75+
• or an SAT score of 1350+
• or an ACT score of 29+

is encouraged to complete a scholarship application to join the Honors College following the information below. The application consists of several short answer questions and includes an essay. Once the completed application has been received, applicants may be invited to interview with the Honors Committee.

The Honors Committee will review all completed applications. A candidate's application is evaluated holistically (short answers, essay, and interview) and is not based on any single metric.

 

The application deadline to start Fall 2025 is December 1, 2024.

Procedure for Applying

• First, apply for admission to UT Tyler
• Then apply for the Honors College.
