Meet the Staff

Dr. Paul Streufert 

Paul Streufert is the founding dean of the Honors College at the University of Texas at Tyler and professor in the Department of Literature & Languages. Paul earned his PhD in comparative literature at Purdue University in 2001, and his research interests include the dramatic literature of ancient Greece, early-modern England, and twentieth-century America. 

Paul co-teaches a section of the World, Text, and Image course that is required of all incoming Honors freshman.

Codee Scott

Codee Scott joined the Honors College as the senior coordinator in June 2024. She earned her master's degree in History from the University of North Texas in 2017. She is currently finishing up her PhD in History at Texas Christian University. Her research focus is on boarding houses in early twentieth-century Texas.

Rebecca Hale

Rebecca Hale joined the Honors College as the coordinator in February 2025. She is an honors alum and graduated from the University of Texas at Tyler in 2017. She earned her master's degree in Creative Industry and Cultural Policy from the University of Glasgow in 2022.

K'Lin Noble

K'Lin Noble has been the Honors College administrative assistant since August 2018.  K'Lin loves interacting with the Honors students when they visit the office.
