Program Prepares Undergraduates for Careers in Finance World

Seven students at The University of Texas at Tyler were named 2025 University of Texas/Texas A&M Investment Management Company Scholars. The UTIMCO Scholars program prepares undergraduate students for careers in the financial industry.

Scholars participate in an eight-week internship program where they learn from UTIMCO leaders as well as those from top financial firms such as JP Morgan, Bridgewater, Greystar and Fortress. Human resource professionals also provide insight into the recruitment process and offer tips for entering the sector as a young professional.

“Thanks to this beneficial program, these students who study economics, finance and accounting will be prime candidates for careers in the investment management arena,” said Susan Doty, UT Tyler Distinguished Teaching Professor and UTIMCO program coordinator for the university. “We congratulate them on being named to this year’s cohort and are proud to have them represent UT Tyler in Austin.”

The 2025 UT Tyler cohort is listed by hometown.
