December 4, 2024 | Hannah Buchanan

Eight accounting students at The University of Texas at Tyler recently attended this year’s Association for Latino Professionals for America Day hosted by Deloitte in Austin.

One of the world’s four largest accounting and consulting firms, Deloitte designed the event to support and elevate budding accounting professionals and provide a platform to connect, learn and grow.

“Our students had the opportunity to connect with students and professionals in the accounting field,” said Dr. Veronda Willis, UT Tyler associate professor of accounting and director of the Master of Science in professional accountancy program. “They also learned valuable information about the accounting profession and how to become successful certified public accountants.”
