Ralph Mangondoza of Tyler, a senior civil engineering major at The University of Texas
at Tyler, was named a 2024-25 UT Tyler Rose Scholar.
Chosen for excellence in leadership, congeniality and Patriot pride, Mangondoza earned
a full scholarship covering tuition, books and fees. He represented UT Tyler at recent
Rose Festival events and will continue to represent at community events throughout
year.
"I am incredibly proud of Mr. Mangondoza for being awarded the UT Tyler Rose Scholarship,”
said Dr. Mena Souliman, UT Tyler professor and Department of Civil and Construction
Engineering and Management. “This prestigious recognition reflects not only his hard
work and dedication but also the bright future he’s building in the field. His achievements
are a testament to the caliber of talent we are fostering in our department, and we look forward to seeing all he will accomplish.”
A native of Zimbabwe, Mangondoza will graduate next May with a UT Tyler bachelor’s
degree in civil engineering.
