Madyson Tate of Gilmer, a junior civil engineering major at The University of Texas
at Tyler, was named a 2024-25 UT Tyler Rose Scholar.
Chosen for excellence in leadership, congeniality and Patriot pride, Tate earned a
full scholarship covering tuition, books and fees. She represented UT Tyler at recent
Rose Festival events and will continue to represent at community events throughout
year.
"I am incredibly proud of Miss Tate for being awarded the UT Tyler Rose Scholarship,”
said Dr. Mena Souliman, UT Tyler professor and Department of Civil and Construction
Engineering and Management.
“This prestigious recognition reflects not only her hard work and dedication but also
the bright future she’s building in the field. Her achievements are a testament to
the caliber of talent we are fostering in our department, and we look forward to seeing
all she will accomplish.”
Tate will graduate in May 2026, with a UT Tyler bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
