Public reception will be Nov. 14 at UT Tyler Fine Arts Complex

Artwork by John McCann Jr. of Lake Jackson, an undergraduate art degree candidate at The University of Texas at Tyler, will be featured in an upcoming exhibition at the UT Tyler Fine Arts Complex Gallery.

“Vitality in Grain” begins Monday, Nov. 11 and continues through Friday, Nov. 22. The Department
of Art and Fine Art will hold a public reception at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, in the UT Tyler Fine Arts

The artist, a UT Tyler student veteran, creates sculptures that explore the delicate interplay
between nature and the human touch through the fusion of wood and resin.

Gallery hours are 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and by special appointment. For more
